Recognition of scientific work

[edit]

Given the awards she has received and the fact that a book has been written about her, not to mention the importance of her work as a planetary scientist, she seems notable enough to have a Wikipedia article; hence the creation of this stub. Research by Dr. Hammel

[edit]

I would like to learn more about research by Dr. Hammel, where can I find more info?

Reply: If you are a young reader, I suggest her biography in the Women's Adventures in Science series, Beyond Jupiter (Joseph Henry Press, 2005). I am the author of that book, and you can find more information about Heidi and the book at the web pages I created for it http://www.fredbortz.com/HammelBio Fred Bortz DrFredB (talk) 19:10, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
